How to change a fuel pump for 2003 Dodge Dakota with 4.7?

My fuel pump is giving me a high input code and now i can hear it clicking as I press on the gas, it needs to be changed and i want to try and tackle it myself.......any tips/directions/hints/help/something/any

  • How to change a fuel pump for 2003 Dodge Dakota with 4.7?The easiest way is with a hoist. Remove the drive shaft. Unhook the fuel filler hose and use a tranny jack to lower the tank a little after you remove the support straps. Then undo the 2 fuel lines and the electrical connector. Careful not to damage the fuel line connectors, if you do then the entire line has to be replaced which is a pain.
